The ratio of caregivers to patients was far higher than I had seen in other facilities and the sense of close community and personal attention was much greater.
Collaborative, High Touch Senior Care
Residents and families in our assisted living facility for seniors get the ultimate in personal care. This is made possible by our leading caregiver to resident ratio.
If you are searching for an assisted living community that caters to the unique physical, emotional and dietary needs of your loved ones, Providence Place is for you.
We take the time to get to know the needs of the resident and their family. Then we create an individual care plan that works for everyone.

There for Your Family as Needs Change and Increase
Moving is stressful. Your loved ones can age gracefully at Providence. Our residents’ needs range from light assistance with basic daily functions to help with transfers and feeding and all the way up to hospice care. With 4 separate neighborhoods, your loved one will always have a home at Providence.
Earlier this year I was given 30 days to find a new facility and thankfully I found Providence Place.
Since then, they’ve taken care of everything and watched carefully over him. It’s wonderful that they can arrange any necessary doctor visits and accompany my dad there.
I work outside the city during the week so it’s difficult for me to handle any such arrangements myself. Compare to [previous community], the “high touch” service of Providence Pace and their small size has been a godsend. Even my aunt appreciates how well my dad is being cared for.
Designed to Foster Participation And Eliminate Isolation
Designed for enhanced senior living, residents at Providence Place live across 4 floors based on their care needs. Each detail was specifically planned to promote socialization, provide a superior level of care and ensure the safety of our residents.
Social spaces are welcoming and encourage residents to participate in activities rather than stay in their rooms. There are no long hallways for residents to navigate.
Displayed prominently on each floor are memory boxes containing treasured family photos, artwork and other mementoes designed to stimulate memory and build a sense of community.
Loving, Professional Care in The Face of Behavior Challenges
Aggression, agitation, anxiety, mood swings. They can occur at any age and with a variety of conditions. We begin by building trust. We work to reduce confusion. And once we’ve established that crucial foundation, we put in place the behavioral therapies and enrichment activities that can lead to a good day.
Active Body. Active Mind. Active Spirit.
Our full time activities staff leads daily group and one-on-one programs designed to keep seniors healthy physically, mentally and emotionally. From field trips to the local farmer’s market to holiday celebrations to fashion shows and art activities, there is never a dull moment at Providence Place.
In addition, our restorative outdoor garden offers a peaceful oasis for meditation and serves as a natural backdrop for arts and exercise classes.
Helping Veterans Afford the Best Senior Care
Providence proudly cares for many veterans. A person who served in the active military, naval, or air service may qualify for financial assistance from the San Francisco Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
My mother has been at Providence for almost two years now. Before moving there, she had lived in two other elderly care facilities that provided comfortable rooms and privacy but felt very lonely and lacked the special attention and loving care that the caregivers, the managers, and the activities director provide at Providence.
