The Providence Family"The intimate relationship of trust that develops between a caregiver and the person cared for is the most unique relationship I have known. While observing, reporting and advocating are important caregiving ingredients, trust is essential. To the extent that a caregiver is trusted as a person; a person cared for will accept assistance.I am proud of the trust I, and the Providence caregiving team, have earned over the years from the community of professionals involved in our clients’ care and from the many people we have cared for." Galina Knop
Galina Knop, Executive Director, Owner & FounderAlthough Galina is the owner and founder of Providence, she wear many hats. In a single day she may interview caregivers, try a new recipe, meet with a family member, and accompany a client to a medical appointment. No two days are alike. However, a few activities are constants: she educates families and professionals about the needs of elders; she advocates for the care of Providence’s clients needs — "and fight for it if I have to". Moreover, she extends loving care to each of Providence’s residents, clients, and caregivers. Caregiving at Providence extends to family members who enlist our help for their loved ones. I have stood in your shoes, experiencing the powerlessness of watching a loved one deteriorate from illness. I know the grief that comes from losing the person you once knew to memory impairment.
